Celebrating Women's Health & Fitness in September
Did you know that September 30, 2020, is National Women's Health and Fitness Day?!?!? Ladies, we have a day all about our wellness. Honestly, they should have given us an entire month, but I'll take a day.
The last Wednesday in September is National Women’s Health and Fitness Day. (Which makes it on September 30th in 2020). It was created in 2002 by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC) based in Libertyville, IL.
This annual observance aims to focus attention on the importance of regular physical activity and health awareness for women. The goal is to encourage women to:
1) Take control of their health
2) Educate themselves and learn the facts they need to make smart health choices
3) Schedule time for regular physical activity
We here at HeniFitness, a woman-owned gym, will be celebrating this National Day all month long by bringing you insightful information, helpful advice, and guest speakers all around the topic of women’s health and fitness. We will conclude the month by hosting a live panel summit with women in the field of health and wellness to talk about their areas of expertise and then open it up for Q&A!
Topics throughout this month will include nutrition, exercise at all ages, mental health, the importance of sleep, pelvic floor, what's in your makeup, and exercises.
